Kensington Rocks the Reader

Books and bands. Who thought this one up? What a cool idea.
This SUNDAY Kensington celebrates the Day of the Book with over 100 local authors and live music. From 11-4 you can wander around, see bands and participate in literary activities of all sorts for all ages. Play chess with a master, have your old books evaluated or step up to the mike yourself if you have a hankering to share your own writing with the Public at Large.

Don't miss multi-talented native son, George Pelecanos reading from his newest book The Cut while the Nighthawks back him up. (Man, who thought that one up?)

Nighthawks will be playing between 2 and 4.
