From Down on U to Up on Wilson

The Velvet Lounge, a bit on the decrepit side but homey sort of rock hole has supported a LOT of local music over the years on an ever changing  U Street. This Saturday power pop punk indie rock band, Club Scout will be on deck for an album release party with a free CD included in the $10 cover charge which also gets you two other bands- Golden Looks and Leland Palmer.

On the other hand out in the close in suburbs,  Elikeh's got a Togalese funk rock driven dance party going on over at IOTA with Covered in Jam and B Side Shuffle - all for $12. A great way to top off Clarendon's street festival going on all day Saturday.
