Don't Get Mad...Get In the Contest for King Giant Giveaway

If 2011 is not treating you well thus far, you might want to consider thrashing it out in the mosh pit at the State Theater THIS Saturday night with King Giant, The Crimsom Electric, Throwdown Syndicate and Death Penalty. Not for the feint of heart, this show  brings back the days of Mandatory Metal - a bygone tradition at the State.

A review of King Giant's album Southern Darkness by Heavy Planet reports: "This album could only be made in the American South.... As a matter of fact, if Johnny Cash rose from the grave and started a metal band, this is what it might sound like. King Giant isn't music that's meant to be fun. No, this is music that's meant to exorcise demons.”

If your soul is still hard core, this is the show for you, and DC ROCKS is giving away two pair of tickets. Just send an email to:

Put "Giant Giveaway" in the subject line, and something clever in the  compose section.

We'll put your name in the hat for this Saturday's big rock show.

The two winners will be announced here- Friday, January 28th. One entry per household, please.(Contest ends at NOON January 28)
